Section 3: Ideate
Section 3.1 Brainstorm Solutions
During our ideation session, each student brainstormed at least three ideas, focusing on encouraging all ideas without judgment, adhering to the "yes, and" principle. We aimed for quantity, knowing that better quality often arises from a larger pool of ideas.
List of brainstorm ideas:
- A mobile app where students can create profiles with their courses, preferred study times, and study styles, then match with compatible groups.
- A web platform integrated with the university's learning management system (LMS) to automatically suggest study groups based on enrolled courses and shared availability.
- A "speed dating" style in-person event for students to quickly meet potential study partners in a low-pressure environment.
- A virtual reality (VR) study space where students can meet avatars and collaborate on whiteboards.
- A chatbot that uses AI to analyze student schedules and course loads to recommend optimal study group times and compositions.
- A mentorship program connecting upper-year students with lower-year students for study guidance.
- A dedicated study lounge with organized "topic tables" where students can drop in and find others studying the same subject.
- A gamified system where students earn points for productive study group sessions, leading to rewards or recognition.
