The Digital Printer

The next breakthrough after flexography would be one of the most important. That was the invention of the Dot Matrix Printer. The Dot Matrix Printer is a printer that seems relatively basic; It uses a bit of ink soaked cloth and produces dots in specified locations. This seemingly basic invention was important, though, as it printed through commands from a computer. This was an important step forward for printing, as it meant more complicated designs were possible, and that the average person could use a printer without going into severe debt. The next invention in this field would be the Laser Printer not long after. The Laser Printer works by using a laser to dislodge particles of ink unto paper. Soon after this there was the Inkjet Printer! The Inkjet Printer works by spraying ink unto a piece of paper. This is less popular than the Laser Printer, as it is less accurate in its depictions and copies. That just about sums up my quick overview of printers. Have a great day! (Also check out the game. Its pretty fun (:)
