Website Plan — clothing store
Audience and Purpose
The purpose of this website is to serve as the primary digital storefront for a new clothing brand, an independent streetwear brand rooted in cultural storytelling and a "Japandi" minimalist aesthetic. The target audience includes young adults, design conscious streetwear enthusiasts, and members of local creative communities. Functionally, the site is designed as an e commerce platform optimized to drive steady unit volume and achieve specific target returns.
Viewer Experience
The viewer experience will be highly intentional, distraction free, and seamless. By utilizing a minimalist layout with significant whitespace, the focus will remain entirely on high res product photography and cultural storytelling. Will include intuitive frictionless navigation. User path from browsing a lookbook to the shopping cart checkout.
Site Structure: 4 Pages
- Home / Lookbook: Highlighting new drops and the brand's core visual identity.
- Shop: The main e-commerce catalog featuring apparel grids.
- Our Story: Information detailing the brand's Japandi influences and cultural background.
- Contact & Policies: Customer service, shipping information, and return policies.
CSS and Style Choices
The visual design of this planning page reflects the final site's aesthetic. I am utilizing a neutral, muted color palette (off white backgrounds with soft charcoal text) to evoke a clean, Japandi feel. For typography, I selected a Bauhaus inspired, sans serif font stack (Helvetica/Inter) to maintain a modern, structural hierarchy. The layout relies on a block grid system with ample padding to let the content breathe.
