Notebook Stage 2: Define

Burned out employee with unrealistic workload for time allotted in an 8 hour workday, that also does not feel their role aligns with their authentic passions and unique skills.

Gen Z to Gen X age groups, all corporate workers on all levels of the organization across America.

Goal: This person would love to stop doing meaningless manual work and use their true talents.
Goal: They would also like to reduce or eliminate work that makes them feel guilt (easy to make mistakes), fear (worry the problems are all on their shoulders to solve, creating isolation and overwhelm), and anger/frustration (complex or time consuming work that is not enjoyable or aligned with their talents). In summary, reduce energy draining activity from their workdays.
Motivation: This person would love to stop doing meaningless manual work and use their true talents. This person wants to feel energized, creative and good at what they do, with the workday flying by since they are having fun and good at what they do. They are adding value and know it.

Meaningless or time consuming work takes their focus while they don’t have any space to work on the things that really matter. They feel fatigue most days, instead of energized. The squeaky wheel gets the grease instead of the most important work getting the attention it deserves.
