Now, for the most exciting moment... drum roll... the moment we've been waiting for! It's time to go home with your new baby. Practicing putting your child in the car seat is advised; if you've never done it, you want to familiarize yourselves. The nurses will make sure you have properly strapped your baby in before leaving the hospital.
This is where creativity comes into play. You and your partner have had time to nest in your home (cleaning and getting it ready for the baby). You've spent time decorating the baby's room to fit a theme.

The first few days may be rough, and you both might not be sleeping as much. It's okay; you will get the hang of things and build a routine. You also have us to help with any doubts. Preparing for unforeseen circumstances is always something you'll thank yourselves for.

While nesting and getting the baby's room ready is important, so is having the right items. You can put most of the clothes and items on your registry for your baby shower. This is the time you and your partner should sit down and talk about the things you need.

These are the most common and most expensive items, so getting them during the baby shower is best. Another great tip: buy some prizes and save yourself money on diapers. You can say the entry to the game requires a box of diapers. We did this and saved ourselves 9 months' worth of diapers!

Now for your kitchen setup, which will be another important thing to do. There's a really cool bottle maker that dispenses formula and warms the bottle. It is pretty expensive, so if you're trying to save money, we just pre-portioned our bottles with room-temperature distilled water. We found that by not warming the milk, our child would eat quicker and could always have milk at any temperature. Again, this worked for us and is only a recommendation.
A bottle washer is by far the most useful and helpful tool we purchased. It sanitizes, washes, and dries not only the baby bottles but also the pump parts for your partner if they decide to take the journey of breastfeeding.
Pre-made foods were our lifesavers. When friends and family asked what we needed, we would ask for pre-made meals, and boy did it help!
