Renaissance Astronomers

Many discoveries made during the Renaissance helped solidify previous theories and invent new ones. These discoveries were made by many scientists. One of these scientists was Galileo.

Galileo's Discoveries

Galileo was a very important figure in space innovation; he made significant contributions through his inventions and observations. Galileo was mainly known for improving the telescope, which allowed him to make groundbreaking astronomical observations. He observed the moons of Jupiter, the phases of Venus and even the surface of the moon. These observations provided important evidence supporting the heliocentric model proposed by Copernicus. His work emphasized the importance of empirical evidence and experimentation in understanding the natural world. He changed and innovated the idea of modern astronomy.

Renaissance Legacy

Isaac Newton had many discoveries including the Law of Gravity. Newton, Galileo, and many others helped create and refine a system for modern science and astronomy. Most of these discoveries are common knowledge today, but they were revolutionary for their time and remain important today.
