Final Project Showcase

Final Problem Statement and PersonaSchool personel, while trying their best, are not able to provide the same resources across schools. Within the same school district, students in underfunded schools lack equitable access to the resources and opportunities that their counterparts in better schools have access to, making it difficult for them to fully engage in learning and reach their academic potential.

My persona is a student in the underfunded Challenger Middle School in Florida. This student lives with a single parent and does not have the time or means for traditional after school extracurriculars. This student relies on school to provide these opportunities. This student is a 7th grader and is beginning to notice the disparity between what is offered at their school versus others.

Key Features Summary My app will include:

Summary of FeedbackOverall, my feedback helped me to round out my idea fully by exposing the holes in where logistically it didn't quite make sense. My users struggled with the concept of my app because my pages did not communicate it clearly enough. It was unclear what exactly happened when a club was chosen, or what exactly they were doing on the club page at all.

In working to make my idea more clear for a user with no prior experience, I was able to fully flesh out the logistics of my idea. Now the call to actions on the buttons are more clear as to what exactly they do, and fuctions provide user alerts letting the user know exactly what is happening when.

Final Reflection of my Experience I have found this to be a highly challenging but highly rewarding experience from start to finish. I have always been fascinated by how this all works. Exploring the "under-the-hood" aspects of websites has been a neat augmentation to my existing knowledge. Previously, I have worked in technology, and digital marketing, so I have some experience with the backend of websites. learning about HTML, CSS and Javascript has helped me to have a more robust understanding of how a website actually functions.

Beyond simply studying these concepts, being challenged to create an app, and several webpages supporting it, has forced me out of a comfort zone I didn't know I had. From AI to Javascript, this project has been the perfect way to apply everything that I have learned up to this point, and actually ensure proficiency. I am now confident that I know these concepts, and am able to apply them on my own outside of a textbook example.
