John Naismith

The Creator of Basketball

John Naismith invented Basketball in 1891. He first used peach baskets as hoops. He soon realized that it was a pain to take the ball out of the basket. He cut holes in the peach basket and made a hoop out of them. He may uhave invented basketball , but his kansas jayhawks record was the worst of any coach to ever coach for the kansas jayhawks.
